Meritor® on the Move Dealer Loyalty Program
I. Overview
The Meritor on the Move (MOTM) dealer loyalty program is offered free of charge to new Class 5-8 Truck and Trailer dealer salespersons or sales managers in the United States and Canada. The program is an incentive program that rewards participants for specifying/ordering qualifying Meritor products on new Class 5-8 trucks and trailers.
II. Eligibility
PERSONS: Dealer salespersons or managers are eligible to earn awards in the Meritor on the Move program when ordering qualifying Meritor products on new Class 5-8 trucks or trailers. In order to qualify for a Meritor Dealer Loyalty Program award, participants must be employed at the enrolling dealership at the time of the award distribution.
VEHICLES: New Class 5-8 trucks and trailers must have a factory order date in the specified date range to be eligible for MOTM awards. A class 5 vehicle has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 16,001-19,500 lbs. A class 6 vehicle has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 19,501-26,000 lbs. A class 7 vehicle has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001-33,000 lbs. A class 8 vehicle has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 33,001 lbs. or more. Glider kit trucks are not eligible for this program. This program cannot be combined with any other program or incentives offered by Meritor, Inc. unless specifically agreed upon in writing.
III. Information Security
All personal information is held strictly confidential and will not be shared with any parties outside of those facilitating this program. Social Security Numbers (SSN) and Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) are used for tax reporting purposes only and are not used for credit checks. Any and all VIN documentation including factory invoices is not shared with any parties outside of those facilitating this program.
IV. MOTM Cards
Meritor on the Move awards are issued on a MasterCard® prepaid card. The MasterCard prepaid card may be used at over 28 million locations worldwide, wherever MasterCard debit cards are accepted. No payment card is more widely accepted globally than the MasterCard prepaid card. There is no APR (annual percentage rate) for these cards because the balance cannot go below zero and thus no "credit" is needed. MOTM awards issued to Canadian participants will be issued in Canadian funds based on the earnings schedule.
You will receive your MOTM card approximately 2-4 weeks after registration. An email will be sent from Citi notifying you when awards have been loaded onto your card. You may access your real-time account balance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling the number on the back of the card or online on the Meritor on the Move website by clicking on the "My Card" button.
V. Participation
Dealer salespersons/managers must register by completing the online registration form at www.specmeritor.com before submitting VINs to the Meritor on the Move program. To be considered for MOTM awards, eligible VIN(s) and required documentation must be submitted online to the Meritor on the Move administrative office no later than the published deadline (based on factory invoice date). A factory invoice and/or line set ticket with the complete VIN, factory invoice and order dates, and qualifying product descriptions and/or data codes are required in order to verify eligibility. All program submissions are limited to 50 VINs per customer per vehicle type each year. If vehicle was ordered for dealer stock, customer name should be entered as “Stock”.
VI. MOTM Awards
Qualifying Meritor products and award amounts for each OEM are listed on the Meritor on the Move website under “New Submission” and “Current Offers”. Awards are based on factory order dates. Award payment processing will begin once VIN eligibility is verified. Allow about six (6) weeks from time of submission for funds to be loaded to your card (if all submissions have been approved on time without any issues). Beginning April 1st, 2021, the submission deadline is 3 months after factory invoice date. All Meritor on the Move awards are automatically placed onto reloadable debit cards.
VII. Federal Tax Rules
Federal Law requires that the value of all contest and incentive awards be reported to the proper taxing authorities. When eligible for tax reporting, the value of awards made to dealership employees for any contest or incentive program will be reported to the individual award winners and to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by Meritor on the Move on IRS Form 1099. Canadian participants will have their earnings reported to the Canadian Revenue Agency on a T4A form or using IRS Form 1042. Persons receiving awards will be responsible for applicable Federal State and Local taxes on the awards and should consult with their tax advisors on questions regarding tax liability.
VIII. Other
Periodic e-mails will be sent to participants at the discretion of Meritor on the Move for the purposes of this program only. Participants cannot opt out of e-mails; however, participants can opt out of the Meritor on the Move program at any time. Contact Meritor on the Move program management if you desire to opt-out of the Meritor on the Move program.
Meritor on the Move reserves the right to revoke the debit card of any participant who intentionally misuses the Meritor on the Move program. Meritor, Inc. reserves the right to alter or cancel any part or this entire program at any time. All decisions and rulings made by Meritor, Inc. shall be final. All individuals participating in this program agree to abide by these decisions.
